Gap Year Program

The Geralyn Sheehan Fund is a scholarship program for recent graduates of Emprendedora. After graduating, students have the ability to continue their education through this generous fund. The intensive 10-month English and business program helps our graduates polish the professional application of their english skills. During the program they cover English Communication as well as English for business, and at the end of the 10 months, all students are expected to achieve a B1 English proficiency level.

A key aspect of the Gap Year Program is the development of a applicable business plan. This project utilizes all the business, English, and technology skills to create a final business model that can be implemented in students’ own communities. Whether or not program graduates go on to realize their business project, they are capacitated to recognize future opportunities for innovation in local markets.

The cost of the Gap Year Program is subsidized by the fund and an additional university scholarship program helps offset additional expenses associated with postsecondary education, such as transportation, books, and school supplies.
